We care about the final, spendable, amount.

Here is current situation
Portfolio about 2.45m (all in VOO or equivalent, 65k in vanguard settlement fund)
Annual savings about 225k
Annual spend about 225k
Annual income: 550 to 600k depending on bonus
Stable jobs. Unlikely to lose jobs unless we are sick. Income evenly split.
