Personal Investments • Re: 403b mixed traditional and Roth distributions

I have an employer with 403B options in my retirement plan, 403B has traditional and Roth contribution options I have been contributing a percentage of my income pretax and a percentage after tax to the 403B to the traditional and Roth portions.
I noticed in my plan that both the traditional and Roth amounts seem to have to be invested the same way, for example, the same percentage of allocation, you can’t for example only do stock fund for the 403B Roth and only Invest in bond fund for the traditional 403b. Is that typical?
another question I have is when I retire and want to take distributions, can I choose to withdraw from only the traditional contributions or only the Roth contributions or a percentage I define of Pretax and after tax? Or must the distribution come from both the traditional and Roth in proportion to their relative make up of the total balance of the 403b?
Last question, when retiring do you typically keep the funds in the 403B and just take distributions from the 403B directly or do people roll the money into IRAs, presumably that would mean portion to traditional IRA and portion to Roth IRA in this case?
Yes, that is fairly typical where the funds/CITs you have chosen to invest in are mirrored at the same AA in both the traditional and Roth portion.

Distribution wise, you will most likely roll the 403b funds into your traditional IRA and Roth IRA where you can take the distributions how you choose.
