Our plan too. I'm maybe 2 or 3 years from retirement now now. All fixed income money in I bonds or TIPS. The strategy has worked out very well for us.100% agree, I will switch to 20% bonds/tips when I am 3-5 years out of pulling money out (or put new funds there). Haven’t decided yet, as that is way too far in the future.
