Unfortunately, it seems that they typically won't reveal a reason these days. I think they are trying to keep secret the triggers for anti-fraud/anti-money laundering flags. Before you do anything, ask Fidelity WHY they closed the account. Is this a taxable account? Contact CFPB. Retirement? Contact your plan sponsor or Labor Dept/Employee Benefits Security Administration.Hi, Fidelity closed my account on October 25th with active positions. Told me that they reserve the right and to call 16 business days later to withdraw funds. Now they’re asking for a signature of medallion on a wire transfer my brother made to my account two months ago to release the funds, but fidelity do not do medallions for wire’s. Asked if I could send in a notarized letter from Chase confirming he did authorize it but they have refused. Unable to get my money out. Any advice or help?
