Yes, after some research I see that was incorrect.
As others have mentioned above if you go to portfolio>cost basis on the website does yours show the average share cost on the top line next to total cost and total share quantity listings for each fund?
Thanks. I'm seeing a "Cost per share" column between the "Quantity" column and "Total cost" column. I assume that's what you're talking about. However, for no clear reason, that column is blanked out for me. (That is, it has dashes instead of values.) And not just for one fund, but for all my funds. Baffling.
If the column is blanked out for you, Vanguard must have incomplete cost basis information for some reason. That's strange if you've seen the average cost basis listed in your statements previously. You might want to get in touch with them to see why it's blanked out, that's definitely weird.
