Personal Investments • Re: Retirement [considering Fidelity Wealth Advisors's services]

As a retiree facing increasing federal taxes due to rising RMDs (starting at $40,000 annually and increasing), I'm considering two options: paying the taxes myself or utilizing Fidelity Wealth Advisors Planning's services. Their approach includes tax harvesting, which they claim can reduce my tax burden throughout retirement. However, their fee is around 0.81% for a $5 million portfolio. Has anybody have any experience with Fidelity Wealth Advisors Planning's services? What is your advice? Thank you in advance.

That rate at that size account is... a lot of money.
You could get many hours with a fee-only (per hour, only) advisor to help you with this, and still have a lot left over!
