My father was a CFP for very large company when I was growing up in the 80's. "Fiduciary" was not a popular topic back then. I started doing my own investing after graduating from college and my father was retired. Once in awhile over the years I check with some of the larger financial investment companies both nationally and locally (NYC) to see if they would be willing to share some verifiable statistics on their performance numbers over many years. Not one has ever been able to produce any information that would gain my business. I do have a close friend (similar age) that has been with Fischer for a decade and was not impressed at all with the returns or guidance he has been given. If you are somewhat knowledgable about investing and understand most of the tax policies involved with retirement accounts, I believe you are far better off doing things yourself. If you are on this forum you are way ahead of most. ![celebrate :sharebeer]()
