It's just that the savings amount is calculated outside of the variables you mention, so it's really only an input to the calculation of the final portfolio size. I hope somebody else can take a crack at answering my first question as if I was five years old. Unfortunately, Skipper's answer didn't help me. It still seems to me that the output answer is needed as an input datum, which would result in a circular reference that wouldn't work. I'm sure I'm missing something. I hope somebody can explain.
