Personal Investments • Re: Inheriting 500k at 28

What do you mean by special treatment? I do have a sister who is getting the same deal.
By "special treatment", I was implying that if there were other heirs (ie, your sister) don't ask for anything that others wouldn't be able to get too. For example, if you use your money for an expensive boat and your sister enjoys boats too but her college expenses or her health care will use up all her money, that could lead to jealousy.
...she is not interested yet. She has a few more years until a dispersement though so i will keep trying.
Instead of urging her to learn what you know, I think it would be great to ask for Fidelity to be your custodian for the trust. After a while, she may see you as a role model and if your account makes money, she will probably request the same as what you did.

Please share your increases and DECREASES
in account values with her so she can learn that investments fluctuate over time.
