If you don't like the ER at Schwab, consider using VUSXX at Vanguard. The Vanguard fund has an expense ratio of 0.09%, the current yield is 5.29% and it holds mostly US Treasury products which can help you save on state level income taxes.
Thank you for the suggestion of VUSXX at Vanguard - I wasn't aware of the product before, and I like the low expense ratios. Unfortunately, since my accounts are with Schwab, I am not able to purchase VUSXX (you can't trade in Vanguard MFs at Schwab), but I appreciate the suggestion nonetheless, as it is good to know for the future.
