Plan to buy I-Bond for this year. Do I have to wait still until April or buy now?

I'm waiting until April. Since money market rates are still high, this will extend the duration of the higher interest rate from the I Bonds.

The 1.3% fixed rate is attractive. It's almost certainly going to be lower in May.
