Lower prices don't necessarily mean higher future returns. Prices may be lower because market participants correctly anticipate lower future returns.Under similar circumstances, I always did a happy dance whenever the markets went down. Great opportunities to pick up more shares at lower prices. The deeper the plunge, the greater the joy as an accumulator with years to go before decumulation.I am theoretically years away from retirement. I'm in my mid 40s with no plans to retire anytime soon.
