I believe in "own the market" so both Developed and Emerging are part of my portfolio (although admittedly in slightly smaller quantities than their market cap, I'm a hypocrite ![:)]( "Smile")

I recently moved VWO (Developed) out of taxable and into my IRA for tax efficiency. Selling VWO caused to gains, but I have plenty of TLH'd losses t offset it. Don't let taxes dictate what you hold, your convictions should do that, but it helps taxes to consider where to hold it.
