It is reasonable to just do it all now ti get it behind you. The extra Federal tax of $1,200 paid on the S/T gain at ordinary tax rates rather than capital gains rates is immaterial in the long run.… I will look at the cost of holding the S/T gains longer. I was so anxious to get away from the 1% AUM fee, that I didn't consider that. That's why I decided to reach out on this forum--to find out what I may be overlooking. I hope to avoid costly errors from hasty decisions. I feel like I've gotten better advice here (free) in 2 days, than I have elsewhere (paid) in 2 years.
