You don't need to amend your return since there is no change in tax liability, however it's probably a good idea to file form 8606, which can be filed as a stand alone form (or as part of an amended return). Technically, you're supposed to report your "Nondeductible contributions to a Traditional IRA" on this form. That way your basis in your IRA is being recorded/tracked with the IRS.
